Horse Trail
Horse Trail: Easement for the horse trails will be time-consuming and expensive, with ongoing high maintenance and increased insurance risk.
La Cresta's roots as agricultural land contribute to its distinctive character, nurturing a blend of natural beauty and rural heritage. But, the proposal for establishing easements for horse trails carries an array of complexities. Notably, this endeavor entails substantial investments of both time and finances. The process of navigating legal intricacies and negotiations can be time-consuming, diverting valuable resources from other community needs. Furthermore, the ongoing maintenance and the potential increase in insurance risk raise legitimate concerns about the feasibility of such a project.
Easement: The HOA will either purchase the easement from our member for the horse trail or compel the easement donation by issuing a citation. Both approaches are time-consuming and result in wasted money, without ever leading to the creation of a complete horse trail.
Privacy: Numerous horse trails are set to pass by our member's backyard, which will significantly and noticeably encroach upon their privacy.
Who Benefits:The horse trail provides advantages solely to 10-15% of the members or individuals from outside the La Cresta community.
The prospect of establishing horse trails in La Cresta reflects a significant departure from its historical roots and might not fully align with the collective aspirations of the community. As decisions are made about the allocation of resources, it's important to remember that true community well-being emerges from equitable distribution and collective agreement. By carefully considering the needs of all residents, focusing on essential infrastructure, and fostering open communication, La Cresta can chart a course that upholds its legacy while embracing a future that benefits every member.
