Architecture Committee
Architecture Committee: Call for Fair Architectural Guidelines, Rejecting Biased Favoritism and Unjust Penalties.
Architectural guidelines within homeowner associations (HOAs) are designed to maintain the aesthetic harmony and safety of a community. However, when these guidelines become instruments of biased favoritism and unjust penalties, the very essence of community unity and fairness is compromised. There are many examples that LCPOA architectural guidelines are manipulated to favor certain members of the community while unfairly targeting others for years. I have received complaints from members complaining that the Board of Directors at LCPOA have been utilizing the violation notice process as a means to penalize the membership, for their personal agendas. On the flip side, it's noticeable that certain members' properties haven't adhered to the safety regulations specified in the CC&R, and this non-compliance has persisted for an extended duration.

Unjust Penalties and Safety Concerns
Equally alarming are instances where violations and penalties are administered inconsistently. When safety violations are ignored for the sake of personal allegiances, it not only endangers the community but also engenders feelings of injustice among residents. The purpose of guidelines should be to ensure the well-being of all, without exception.
Architectural guidelines should stand as a testament to a community's commitment to unity, safety, and visual appeal. When these guidelines are compromised by biased favoritism and unjust penalties, the very foundation of community living is undermined. A call for fairness, transparency, and inclusive decision-making is crucial to ensure that architectural guidelines genuinely serve the best interests of all residents. Let us reject practices that erode trust and embrace a path that leads to a community where every voice is heard, and every member is treated with respect and equity.
